The notification icon provides users with personalized notifications with highlights of activity e.g. published content, comments etc.
Here's how to enable notifications:
(1) Go to Community Settings and enable email notifications.
(2) Secondly, click to toggle the switch on to receive email notifications before publishing the content. This is a vital step as if you do not turn this on, users will not get notified.
Only the admin will get notified of published/featured content. This step has to be repeated for every content that is being published.
Once these steps are executed, users will be notified of published/featured content.
When you choose to receive push notifications or email notifications, these are the types of notifications received by the different roles within a SmartUp community:
Channel Manager
- When content/course is submitted
- When content/course is published
- When content/course is featured
- When learner replies to a content/course
Admin
- When content/course is published
- When content/course is featured
User
- When content/course is published
