Both the Channel Manager and Administrator roles are different. Do note that a channel manager does not have to be an admin and likewise, an admin does not have to be a channel manager. Nevertheless, a Channel Manager can be an admin and vice-versa.
The Channel Manager is the person in charge of managing a specific channel. Only a Channel Manager will be able to view the Manage button.
You can perform the following tasks by clicking on the dropdown list on the left:
- Feature content and course
- Edit content and course
- Publish content and course
- Promote member to manager
The Admin meanwhile has administration rights for the entire community.
They are able to add, disable members to the platform, assist to reset passwords, view reports etc. They do not have the rights to manage a channel unless they choose to promote themselves as channel manager.
