In the second article on this series on how to analyze the Content Interaction Report, you'll learn how to calculate the total number of content read and the content completion rate. The total number of content read is a good indicator of how the users in your community are engaging with the available content. The content completion rate will be useful in helping you identify the particular topics or pieces of content that your readers are interested in.

To start, open the original content interaction data that you added columns to in **Part 1**. Click on any cell in the data, then insert a pivot table into a new worksheet.

Under PivotTable Fields, add **Content Title **to Rows field and **Action **to both the Columns and Values fields.

The total number of content read will be displayed in the **Grand Total **row at the bottom of the pivot table. In the example below, the total number of content read is 48, which comprises 39 pieces completed and 9 opened pieces.

To calculate the content completion rate, simply divide the number of completed pieces over the total number of pieces. In the example above, the content completion rate is 39/48, or 81.3%.

If you're interested in the completion rate of individual pieces of content, all you need to do is run the same calculation above but only for the pieces you are interested in. If you would like to find out the completion rate by channel instead, add **Channel Name **to the Rows field in PivotTable Fields instead.
